Warm Greeting! The Department of Energy and Environment(DEE), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, is organizing a one-week self-sponsored workshop on “Instrumental Methods of Analysis” from 24-26, January 2019 with the objective of providing hands-on training in instruments like TGA, TG-IR, CHNS/O, DSC, UV/VIS/NIR Spectroscopy, IR Spectroscopy. The scope of the workshop is to introduce the sample preparation, basic principles of thermal analysis, data interpretation and demonstration of the instruments. As an outcome of the workshop, one can characterize polymers, organic or inorganic chemicals, metals, semiconductors and other common classes of materials.
