The college was started in the sacred memory of Thanthai Hans Roever.
Fr.Roever
was a German missionary and Civil Engineer by profession and born of
very rich parents at Roestock. Even as a small boy, the
teachings of Jesus Christ evoked in him a strong desire to live as
a replica of Jesus Christ. As a result, after becoming an engineer.
To carry out his work after him, he formed the St.John Sangam and got
it
registered. But, unfortunately in 1947 he passed away leaving
the orphanage with over 300 children. This status continued till 1981.
In
June 1977, Dr K .Varadharaajen, present Chairman of St.John Sangam Trust,
became the Secretary of the Sangam, and the present patron of
the Trust Er. M.Arumugam, became the president of the sangam. Some
of their friends became members of the managing Committee. Immediately,
trouble started among their own friends, and the Sangam was on the
verge of being dismantled through Civil and Criminal Court cases preferred
by some of the friends with a criminal bent of mind. Thanks to the
Grace of God, the Sangam stood as firm as a rock during the turmoil.
In
1981, the High School was started in the name of the beloved father and
one by one with the grace of God the trust was able to start more
than 25 educational and social welfare institutions. To further strengthen
the administration and management the St. John Sangam was dissolved
and the St.John Sangam was formed and registered in 1994. All the rights
