The need for an Arts and Science College in this part of Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District was a long felt one. This district was branded as educationally backward one. This fact disturbed many educationalist and socially conscious persons of this Taluk. The Naina Mohamed families rose to the occasion and took it as a challenge and service to open up educational opportunities for the youth of Aranthangi and its surrounding villages.

The religious background of the members of these families urged them to take up this social responsibility with pleasure and zeal. It believes in “ The people who read are the people who lead” with a motto of “ A College for the future” . Naina Mohamed College of Arts and Science emerged dedicated to impart knowledge and to fulfil the longfelt dreams of parents and students of this educationally backward area.

The sprawling compus, situated by the Aranthangi – Pattukkottai highway 7Kms from Aranthangi provides ideal atmosphere to mould the next generation professionals. Together with the well qualified teaching community and necessary academic infrastructure, the college has gained a hall mark in excellence and personality development. The infrastructure includes congenial class rooms, lecture halls, seminar halls, laboratories, hostel facilities Library, auditorium etc. The infrastructure facilities upgraded as and when need demands.
