The college is run by very able and efficient administration.

The Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust was started in 1988. Its first educational institution was Mount Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School. The school is situated at Pudukkottai. It is rated to be the best school in the district.

It consistently outperforms other schools in the district and region not only academically - but also in sports.

Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology was started in 2001. It is a fledgling institution which shows great promise. The Chairman, Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah has an M.A in Educational Administration from Loma Linda University, U.S.A. He has over 35 years of experience in heading many educational institutions.
