The need for more Colleges and the sad plight of students who aspired in vain for higher education had been agitating the minds of many educationists. The late Janab. N.M.Khajamian Rowther and the late Janab. M.Jamal Mohamed Sahib planned to meet this challenge by establishing a first grade college in Tiruchirappalli, considered to be the heart of Tamilnadu. Jamal Mohamed College made its appearance thus in the map of academic world on the 11th July, 1951 with Founder President Janab. N.M.Khajamian Rowther (1951-1954), Founder Secretary Janab M.J.Jamal Moideen Sahib (1951-1966) and Founder Treasurer Janab. N.M.K.Abdul Samad Sahib (1951-1964). The College was inaugurated by Hon. Thiru. P.S. Kumarasamy Raja, the then Chief Minister of Madras, when His excellency, the Maharaja of Bhavanagar, the then Governor of Madras, very graciously presided. The College celebrated its Silver Jubilee during 1979 and the Golden Jubilee during 2000-2001 in a grand manner. The College was awarded the coveted Fove Star Status by NAAC, an autonomous body of UGC, during the Golden Jubliee year. The College could achieve given by the College Management Committee. The College was able to scale greater and greater heights for promoting quality and excellence in higher education.

Haji. M.J. Jamaludeen Sahib, who succeeded Janab M.J.Jamal Mohideen Sahib as Secretary and Correspondent from 1966, functioned till 1973. Haji Janab N.M.K.Abdul Khader Sahib, served as treasurer from 1964 till 1973. On the sad demise of Haji M.J.Jamaludeen Sahib, Haji Janab. N.M.K.Abdul Khader Sahib took over as Secretary and Correspondent in the year 1973 and served till 1988. Haji M.B.Abdullah Sahib, who served as the President from 1975 to 1989, also served as Secretary for one year from 1988 to 1989.

Janab. Haji. M.J.M.Abdul Gafoor Sahib, took over as treasurer in 1973 and served till 1989 to be succeeded by Janab. Haji K.A. Khaleel Ahamed Sahib, who continues till date as Treasurer.

Janab. Haji M.J.M.Abdul Gafoor Sahib was elected as Secretary and Correspondent in 1989 and continues to serve till date. He has the distinction of serving even during the time of Silver Jubliee of the College and onwards.

Janab. N.M.K.Abdul Kaliq Sahib was the President form 1990 till 1995. Janab. M.J.Noorudeen Sahib succeeded as the President in 1996 and continues as President till date. Janab. A.K.Khaja Nazimudeen Sahib, who has been serving as the member of the Management Committee from 1995 was elected tot eh post of Assistant Secretary in the year 2003, a post created for the purpose of smooth functioning of the administration.

This committee has been responsible for the remarkable development of the College and in recognition of their contribution in the day to day administration of the College helping the Principal and Staff Members, NAAC awarded Five Star Status to the College during the Golden Jubliee year 2000-2001.
