A Panchayat Union Primary School at K Paramathi village has received 5S certificante. This is awarded based on the Japanese concept of systematized living. Seiri (sort), Seiton (set), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize) and Shitsuke (sustain) are the 5S which deal with developing the behavior to keep the workplace organized. The school has been the first-ever government primary school from the state to receive the recognition which is normally received by reputed industrial organizations. The headmaster Selvakannan says he spent Rs 70,000 from his own money to develop the necessary infrastructure. He received enough support from the staffs and students to attain this achievement. Since October 2017 lots of changes are made. A 5S bell has been initiated which will ring 10 minutes prior to the days completion and all efforts to keep the campus clean and organized will be taken. The PUPS has encouraged them by leaving the charges they have to pay to be nominated for 5S.
